About

Thirty minutes. Flat.

30 Flat is a timetable of home workout classes. Every class is thirty minutes long, needs no equipment, and starts at a set time, like a class at a studio. The studio just happens to be the gap between your sofa and your coffee table.

Why it exists

Most people who want to exercise at home aren't short of workouts. There are thousands of free videos, and every one of them can wait until later. That's the trouble: a workout you can start whenever you like is one you can put off for ever.

A studio class gets you through the door because it has a start time. You booked it, it starts at 6:30, and it goes ahead whether you're there or not. 30 Flat brings that one thing home. Pick a slot, clear a bit of floor, and press play with everyone else who booked it.

What “flat” means

30:00 flat

Every class is exactly half an hour, warm-up and cool-down included. It starts on the dot and ends on time. Not thirty-ish, not forty-five with a long cool-down. Thirty minutes flat.

Built for a flat

Two metres of floor is enough for every class. Low Impact 30 has no jumping at all, and every jump in HIIT 30 has a quieter option, so the people downstairs never need to know.

How the classes work

Each class is pre-recorded, then broadcast at set times to everyone who booked that slot. Nobody can pause it, rewind it or skip ahead, and when the thirty minutes are up, it's over. You see the same moment as everyone else in your session, and you can chat with them while it runs.

We're upfront about the recording because it matters. Nobody is watching you through a camera, so every move is shown in an easier and a harder version, and the choice is yours.

What we won't do

  • No subscription

You pay for the class you book, once. Nothing renews.

  • No streaks or guilt

No badges, no reminders nagging you to keep a streak alive. Book when you want to.

  • No fake crowd

The people in your chat are the people in your class. The assistant is labelled as one.

  • No upsell mid-squat

Thirty minutes of class. Nothing to buy halfway through.

A note from the founder

I started 30 Flat because the workout was never the hard part. Most of us know roughly what to do. What we don't have at home is the thing a studio class gives you for free: a time you've agreed to be there, and a class that starts whether you're ready or not.

So that's what this is. Four short classes, a timetable, and nothing to keep up with in between. No app to check every day, no subscription quietly renewing. You book a half hour, you turn up, and then you're done.

If you have a question, a complaint, or a class you would like to see on the timetable, write to me. The address is below.
